HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police have released the names of the two people involved in a stabbing Friday afternoon.
Police say Stephen W. Marks, 33, of Huntington, was stabbed twice in the upper chest by Thomas Ramey, 32, also of Huntington.
It happened about 4 p.m. on West 9th Street outside of the old Jimmy's bar.
Police tell WSAZ.com that Marks is in serious condition and is going into surgery.
They say Ramey is in police custody and will be charged with malicious wounding.
Witnesses at the scene tell WSAZ.com that the two men were horse-playing, then started fighting when the stabbing happened.
They also say after the stabbing, Ramey ran into one of the apartments above the former bar and everyone who saw the stabbing gathered around to make sure he didn't get away before police arrived on scene.

The stabbing happened in a parking lot next to the old Jimmy's Bar on West Ninth Street. There are now apartments above the former bar.
Witnesses on the scene say the two men started horse playing, then started fighting and it ended with a stabbing.
They tell WSAZ.com that after the stabbing, the suspect went up into one of the apartments and the witnesses surrounded the area to keep him from getting away until police showed up on scene.
The name or condition of the victim have not been released
Another person was taken into police custody.
