HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A suspended Huntington High School student is now facing charges.
According to a press release from Cabell County Schools, the suspended student was trespassing on the property of Huntington High School Thursday morning before the school day began.
The student was arrested in town a short time later, according to the release.
After being arrested, officers found out that the student had been carrying a gun while he was trespassing on the school property. According to the release, officers believe that there was no direct threat to the school of students.
The student is now behind bars. No word on what charges the student will be facing.
