HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people are in custody after Huntington Police say they robbed a group of people at a party inside the Village Apartments.

It happened about 10:30 Saturday night.

The victims told police they had been at the party for about a half hour when they went outside to smoke. At that point, the man who had invited them to the party allegedly followed them outside with a handgun and demanded money, while other partygoers surrounded them to keep them from leaving.

The victims say they gave the man cash, and he ran away.

Police quickly caught up with a person matching his description.

18-year old Tequan Montek Pratt was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery in connection with the incident. A second detained man was released.

Pratt was also charged with being a fugitive from justice. He is wanted in Pennsylvania for a robbery charge in that state.

It is unknown at this time if anyone else will be charged in connection with this incident.

No one was hurt.

The investigation is ongoing.
