Hundreds of AEP customers remained without power Wednesday night due to high winds.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ/AP) -- Hundreds of AEP customers remained without power Wednesday night due to high winds.

Phil Moye with AEP says the majority of the power problems are due to issues at substations across West Virginia.

Moye says the company plans to have power back on for the majority of customers by dark.

As of 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, the company is reporting the following outages:
Boone County: 375 customers
Cabell County: 110 customers
Fayette County: 311 customers
Kanawha County: 2213 customers
Lincoln County: 143 customers
Mingo County: 883 customers
Nicholas County: 724 customers
Raleigh County: 307 customers

Pike County (Ky): 455 customers
