Three Arrested In String of Burglaries

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men and a woman were arrested in a string of larcenies and burglaries.

Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas says they're responsible for a string of at least 20 larcenies and burglaries. They got caught Tuesday afternoon during burglary number 21.

Deputies say Stephen Whitt and Caleb Williams were spotted trying to steal a generator from a homeowner along Plybon Branch Road in Huntington.

Those homeowners are Homer and Virginia Ellis. Virginia said her husband spotted the men rolling the generator down the road.

"He said, 'That's my generator. Where are you going with my generator?' And the guy said, 'This is yours?' And he said, 'Yeah, that's my generator,' " Virginia said.

They were later stopped and arrested by deputies during a traffic stop. Their getaway driver, Leann Kyser-Williams, also was arrested.

All three suspects were charged with receiving stolen goods, conspiracy, grand larceny and several other charges.
