HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Anonymous tips and numerous complaints have led to the arrest of two people in Huntington.

James Meade, 53, of Huntington, and 35-year-old Francis Ross of Chesapeake, Ohio, were arrested Tuesday after Huntington Police Department's Special Emphasis Unit and West Virginia State Police executed a search warrant at Meade's home at 2610 Adams Ave. in Huntington.

Meade was charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance with additional charges pending, and Ross was charged with prostitution.

Found inside the home was a small amount of crack cocaine, prescription drugs, items used for the distribution of narcotics and six firearms, one of which was reported stolen.

Animal Control was notified to take possession of six pit bull puppies that were found to be neglected within the home.

"Due to the deplorable living conditions found within the residence, HPD Code Enforcement will be notified for follow-up investigation, and a nuisance letter will be issued to the homeowner for corrective action," Capt. Rocky Johnson said.

Three additional people were issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia at the home.
