Troopers Find 17 Marijuana Plants in Cabell County

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Troopers say they found 17 marijuana plants during a marijuana eradication flyover in Cabell County Thursday.

Troopers say one of the marijuana patches was found behind a home in Old Farm Village subdivision in Ona. They found about 14 plants, some of them nearly 10 feet tall.

"We hadn't been out here long and already found this first plot, and pretty much have a pending arrest off this," said Sergeant Greg Losh. "I have guys now in Milton looking at another one."

A second patch of three plants was later found near Pumpkin Park in Milton.

No arrests were made Thursday, but troopers expect some to be made after more investigation.
