The union represents licensed practical nurses, lab workers, and service and maintenance personnel at the hospital.

A tentative deal had been reached very early Wednesday morning. Workers then voted on the pact throughout the day on Wednesday

The union said in a news release that details of the contract are confidential, but workers were able to make gains in wages, improvement to job bidding language, organized workers at the Surgery Center into the bargaining unit and fought off all major concessions.

Cabell Huntington Hospital said a new release that the contract assures our employees will continue to receive a benefits package that includes wages, retirement and health coverage that ranks at the top in West Virginia for total compensation among health care providers.

On November 4, the union issued a 10-day strike notice to the hospital after voting down a contract offer several days earlier.
