HUNTINGTON, WVa (WSAZ) --- Christmas fellowship could be found, this Wednesday, in the kitchen of First Presbyterian Church.
Volunteers arrived to start cooking at 5:00 in the morning, for the church's Christmas dinner, that was open to everyone.
"This is our Christmas routine, it has been for years." says Rus Livingood. "We opened presents, last night, so we could be here early in the morning."
Roughly 200 meals were served at church, the rest were taxied to the home-bound throughout the region. Volunteers hit the road with more than 300 meals.
"We're just trying to make a difference" says volunteer Sonia Chambers. "We are so fortunate in our family to have lots of family and all the food we need and the ability to cook whatever we want, so we're just trying to share that.
