West Virginia Baptist Church Convention Comes to Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Thursday isn't the usual day for church services but its not usual when close to 500 churches come together for a service either.
The West Virginia Baptist Convention is going on this week at New Baptist Church in Huntington. Representatives from each Baptist church across W.Va. have come together to worship and make decisions for the up coming year as a unified whole.
"We are part of a larger family and we can do more things together than by ourselves. It's important to do these each year to see who this family is and to fellowship, talk and encourage one another," said Trent Eastman, Pastor at New Baptist Church.
The convention runs through Friday night.
