HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police are trying to determine what caused a window to shatter in their transport van.

Thursday afternoon, officers were transporting an inmate when the front passenger window shattered.

The van was in the area of 20th Street and 7th Avenue when it happened.

Police say they are still trying to determine if it was criminal.

"We simply don't know if there's anything criminal with it of if it's as incidental as a lawnmower running over a rock," said Sgt. Darrell Booth with the Huntington Police Department.

"There's not enough data or evidence to show it was anything but a freak accident," Sgt. Booth said.

A driver, passenger and inmate were the van. No one was injured.
