Woman Arrested and Charged in Huntington Pharmacy Robbery

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman that police say robbed a Huntington pharmacy was arrested minutes after she fled the store.

The robbery happened at the Fruth Pharmacy in the 1400 block of U.S. 60 east about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Huntington Police arrested and charged Miranda Hunt, 25, of Huntington with second-degree robbery.

According to the criminal complaint, Hunt walked into the store and handed an employee a note that said, "Give me all the cash. I have a gun."

The employee, who said she feared for her safety, then gave Hunt nearly $600.

Hunt left store on foot. She was arrested not far from the store on Roby Road.

She is being held in the Western Regional Jail on $50,000 bond.
