HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Huntington woman was arrested and charged with child neglect after police say she left a 19-month old alone in a hot car.

Police arrested Allyssa Crawford, 23, in the 800 block of 4th Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

According to the criminal complaint, Crawford told police she was supposed to be watching the child but had to go to the courthouse for day report. She said the child had only been alone for 10 to 15 minutes.
