Woman Crashes into Pole, Runs from Scene, Leaves Passenger with Head Injury

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police are trying to track down the driver of a car who crashed into a pole and ran away from the scene.

The crash happened just before 12 p.m. in the 1400 block of 10th Avenue.

Huntington Police say the driver was a woman. They say she crashed into the pole and ran away. She has not been identified.

The passenger in the car hit hear head on the windshield and had to be taken to a local hospital. She was conscious when being transported to the ambulance.

No word on what caused the accident.

A resident in the neighborhood caught the crash on their home surveillance tape. Police have that tape and are hoping it helps in identifying the driver.
