CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A wrong-way crash in the 5000 block of U.S. 60 sent two people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, Barboursville volunteer firefighters say.
They say a van was heading west in the eastbound lanes when it collided head-on with a truck. The crash was reported about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital but are expected to recover from their injuries, firefighters say.
Huntington City Councilman Scott Caserta told WSAZ.com he was the one who was driving the truck that was slammed head-on by the van. He says he has lacerations on both legs and bruises all over.
There is no word why the van was traveling in the wrong lanes.
