Lightning Believed Responsible for Church Fire; Power Outages Reported

Updated: 06/24/2014 - The utility room fire started just before 8 p.m. Tuesday at Steele Memorial United Methodist Church in the 700 block of Shaw Street in Barboursville. Firefighters say a nearby lightning strike was responsible after causing a power surge to the church's air conditioning units.
