UPDATE: Assault Suspect Pleads Not Guilty, Victim Still in Hospital

CATLETTSBURG Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man accused of severely beating a woman, nearly killing her, says he didn't do it.

Ty Doolen, 26, of Rush, Kentucky, was arraigned Friday in Boyd County, Kentucky. He pleaded not guilty to an assault charge.

Doolen was arrested last month, after Amelia Hall, 31, of Rush, Kentucky, was found unresponsive in a home on Carry Black Drive.

Hall is still in the hospital, recovering from her injuries.

Doolen remains behind bars, on a $100,000 cash only bond.

He is scheduled to be back in court in January.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man wanted in a near deadly assault was arrested Monday evening, according to information from Kentucky State Police.

Ty Jacob Doolen, 26, of Rush, Ky., was charged with first-degree assault and taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.

Doolen was arrested during a traffic stop on Ky. 1458 near the junction of Ky. 5.

On Sunday, KSP troopers received a call about an alleged assault at a residence in the 10,000-block of Carry Back Drive in Rush, Ky.

Troopers arrived to find Amelia Hall, 31, of Rush, unresponsive with multiple injuries. Hall is currently in critical condition at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police need the public’s help in locating a wanted fugitive from Boyd County.

Troopers say 26-year-old Ty Jacob Doolen is wanted for first-degree assault. They say Doolen should be considered armed dangerous.

Sunday, KSP received a call about an alleged assault at a residence in the 10,000 block of Carry Back Drive in Rush, Ky.

Troopers arrived to find Amelia Hall, 31, of Rush, unresponsive with multiple injuries. Hall is currently in critical condition at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
