ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police have arrested a Boyd County resident after receiving a report of sexual abuse involving a female under 12 years old.
Troopers say on November 27, a 17-year-old female now living in Connecticut reported that between 1998 and 2007 she was sexually abused at a residence on Linda Circle in Boyd County.
On Thursday, investigators say that during an interview with 47-year-old Clyde A. Diamond, of Burnanugh, they learned that he had sexual contact (touching in a sexual manner) with the juvenile.
KSP says the Diamond’s were family friends of the victim’s mother and were assisting with babysitting when the abuse occurred.
Diamond was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He is being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.
