PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) – A Johnson County businesswoman says she wasn't going to let a robbery suspect get away without a fight.

Anita Watts, owner of children's consignment shop "Mudpyz n' Butterflyz" in Paintsville, says she was in the store's back room with another employee when they heard a loud noise.

Watts says she went to the front of the store and saw Misty Mollette, 35, of Allen, stealing from her cash register.

Watts says she's tired of people thinking it is ok to steal, so she confronted the thief.

When she did, Watts says Mollette came at her, and that's when she tackled her, and then held her down until police arrived.

Police say they found merchandise from the store in Mollette's pocket.

She's charged with robbery and public intoxication and is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
