HINDMAN, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A preliminary hearing is set for a man from Floyd County charged with murder.
Kentucky State Police arrested Jerry Combs, 34, of Wayland, on Saturday and charged him with killing Eric Fugate, 30, of Hindman.
Fugate's body was found Friday along a mining road in Knott County. Family members had reported him missing a day earlier.
Troopers said that Combs and Fugate had an argument that turned violent. No word on how Fugate died.
Comb’s preliminary hearing is set for January 29. He is being held in Kentucky River Regional jail in hazard.
