GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A Greenup County Deputy is now in serious condition after being exposed to harmful materials after a drug bust early Sunday.
The sheriff's department says it all happened about midnight at a home on Culp Creek Road.
According to the release, Deputies Rick Craft and Cody Fuller were attempting to serve a warrant.
That's when deputies say Hubert Dehart, 42, barricaded himself in the bathroom of the home, where an active meth lab was cooking.
They say Dehart tried to get rid of all the meth making material before deputies busted in, but he was not successful.
Dehart and Pamela Dehart, 42, were arrested and now face several charges.
After the arrest, both deputies responding became overwhelmed by the fumes and had to be transported to the hospital.
Deputy Craft was treated and released, but Deputy Fuller had to be admitted into the intensive care unit.
The Greenup County Sheriff's Department is still investigating.
