CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A family already dealing with loss is now looking for a place to live.

The Imes family in Carter County, Ky. just laid to rest a family member. Tim Imes' wife, Rhonda, recently died of a hear attack, and was buried Monday.

On Tuesday morning, the family suffered another major loss -- their daughter's home went up in flames.

The home, located on the 1600-block of Stinson Creek, was destroyed in the early morning blaze. Luckily, no one was home at the time of the fire.

After the funeral, the family decided to stay together at Tim's home just up the hill. Tim credits his daughter's safety to his wife, her mother, looking out for her from above.

The homeowner says by the time the fire department was called and arrived on the scene, their goal was to control the fire. They were unable to save the home, and just let it safely burn itself out.

There is no word on what may have caused the fire.
