GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The names of two women hurt Wednesday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of the Industrial Parkway (Ky. 67) and Ky. 207 have been released.
Tabitha N. Graff, 34, of Shelbyville, Ky., was driving a 2008 Chevrolet HHR traveling south on the Industrial Parkway, according to a Kentucky State Police news release. Graff lost control and traveled onto the southbound shoulder of the Industrial Parkway.
Graff then entered a grassy area on the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Graff and her passenger, Amme R. Harper, 32, also of Shelbyville, were transported by Air Evac to Cabell Huntington Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both women were wearing seat belts.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are considered factors in the crash.
Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, the Greenup Police Department, KDMC Ambulance and Little Sandy Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. in the area of Route 207.
Kentucky State Police say one vehicle was involved. They say the driver lost control and flipped into a creek.
KSP says two women from Shelbyville, Kentucky were in the vehicle and both were flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital with serious injuries.
Both women were wearing seat belts, according to KSP.
Drugs and alcohol are not expected as factors in the crash.
Names have not been released at this time.
The road reopened about 3:45 p.m.
The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Route 207.
Dispatchers say two medical helicopters have been called in to transport patients.
No other information is being released.
