OWENSBORO, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Lightning is being blamed for a fire that tore through a church in Kentucky.
It started about 3 Monday morning in Owensboro.
Officials say at one point, sections of the roof caved in as firefighters tried to get the flames under control.
The fire spread to a building behind the church and threatened a third building.
No one was hurt but some nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.
Officials say power was shut off to several blocks for hours.
