MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police have released the name of the motorcycle rider killed in a crash in Martin County on Sunday.

Troopers say old Donald Lee Ferrell, 60, of Switzer, W.Va. was traveling along Blacklog Road (Route 40) near Inez when a oncoming vehicle crossed into his lane.

According to a witness, Ferrell swerved to miss the oncoming vehicle, lost control and overturned on road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – A man from Logan County, W.Va. died after crashing his motorcycle in Martin County, Ky.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened about 2:45 Sunday afternoon along Route 40 near the mouth of Sweetwater.

The man’s name, along with information on how he crashed has not been released. Kentucky State Police are investigating. There were no other injuries in the crash
