NEW INFO: 4-Year-Old Dies in ATV Accident, Two Injured

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A four-year-old child is dead after an ATV accident over the weekend.

According to our sister station WYMT, officials say four-year-old Patrick Cleere died after being thrown from the ATV he was riding after hitting an embankment.

Officials say that five people were riding the ATV -- four of which were juveniles.

The names and conditions of the others have not been released at this time.

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- One person was killed and two other people injured in an ATV accident in Salyersville Sunday afternoon.

The Magoffin Sheriff's Department, Salyersville Fire Department and Magoffin County Rescue Squad responded to a 911 call about the accident on Sugar Camp Road about 4 p.m.

Rescue Squad officials say five people were riding on the ATV when the accident happened.

The names and ages of the people involved have not been released, but officials confirmed that at least four of the people involved were juveniles.

The two people injured were reported to have non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident has not been released.
