Outdoor Burning Ban for Part of Eastern Ky.

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Severely dry conditions have prompted an outdoor burning ban in part of eastern Kentucky.
All open burning is prohibited in Boyd County effective immediately.
Emergency management officials say the heightened risk for wildfires poses a serious danger to firefighters and the community.
Officials say the risk is too high to permit burning.
