School Bus Crashes Avoiding Deer

GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- No children were on a school bus that crashed in Greenup County, Ky., Friday morning.

The crash happened on SR 1 just past the entrance to Greenbo State Park about 6 a.m.

A spokesperson for Greenup County Schools tells WSAZ.com the driver was trying to avoid deer when she crashed. We’re told the bus ended up on its side on the other side of the road.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Again, there were no children on the bus.
