FRANKFORT, Ky. (WSAZ & AP) -- Republican candidate Thomas Massie has been elected to the U.S. House for Kentucky's 4th District, the Associated Press reports.
A Vanceburg, Ky., native, Massie is former Judge-Executive of Lewis County, Ky. He holds a Master’s degree in engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Massie will fill the seat vacated by former U.S. Congressman Geoff Davis who resigned from office in July 2012.
Davis tells WSAZ.com he will be sworn in Nov. 13 to complete the term left by Davis -- before assuming his regular term in January.
