LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Two men have been arrested following a home invasion where a man was assaulted.
The incident happened at an apartment in Echo Hills in Lewis County Saturday night.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says the victims told 911 that somebody was trying to kick in the door to their apartment.
When deputies arrived several people outside the apartment were detained.
One of the victims identified John Montgomery, 25, of Flemingsburg, as one of the people who assaulted him.
Deputies say the other suspect Corey Bentley, 22, fled the scene on foot. He turned himself in Sunday night. The victim said he bit Bentley on the nose during the fight.
Bentley and Montgomery were later arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief and assault.
Both men are in the Lew County Detention Center.
The Sheriff's Office says it appears the male victim and suspects had prior issues, and this was not a random attack.
