PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Two people have been killed in separate ATV accidents in Pike County.
Deputy Coroner Russell Roberts tells WSAZ.com that Clay Maynard, 40, of Kimper, died in an accident near Meta early Thursday night.
The crash happened on Brent Branch Road. Investigators say Maynard lost control, went off the road and overturned in a creek. Roberts says Maynard was thrown from ATV. He was pronounced dead just before 6:30 p.m.
The other fatal crash happened in the Elkhorn City area.
Kentucky State Police say 41-year-old Matthew Wallace, of Elkhorn City, was killed.
Troopers say Wallace was traveling south on KY 195, Marrowbone Creek Road, when he went off the road, and hit a tree.
