Work Release Inmate Missing from Pike County Detention Center

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A work release inmate from the Pike County Detention Center remained on the run Friday night, Kentucky State Police say.

Jeremiah Young, 24, walked away Thursday during his scheduled work release. Officials with the center said Young had served time for organized crime, theft and criminal mischief.

He is described as 6 feet tall and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about Young’s whereabouts is asked to call Kentucky State Police at (606) 433-7711 or (800) 222-5555.
