In Lawrence County, Ohio, more than 475 seniors lined up for a free food giveaway on Thursday, April 24th. The people who run the Southeastern Chapter of the Second Harvest Food Bank say that's proof of a need.

The food bank, which serves more than 75 local food pantries in southern Ohio has seen donations down by more than 60% this time last year.

At the Chesapeake Community Center, the pantry directors are taking a direct hit. Don Moore says, "It's emptier now. The amount of food we have available is; it's not real plentiful."
