UPDATE 12/16/11 @ 2 p.m.
MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An ongoing argument over a woman turned deadly in Mingo County, according to investigators.
West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com Steven Whitt went to a house on Mark's Branch Road in Newtown about 11:45 p.m. Thursday.
That was where Justin Jordan was staying.
According to investigators, Whitt and Jordan had been involved in an ongoing argument because troopers say Whitt's estranged wife was in a relationship with Jordan.
Troopers say Whitt shot and killed Jordan and then turned the gun on himself.
State Police say the 911 call came in about midnight regarding a shooting on Mark's Branch road in Newtown.
When investigators arrived on scene, they found the bodies of two men outside a home.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police tell WSAZ.com the men died of gunshot wounds that were the result of a murder-suicide.
Two other adults were inside the home when the shooting happened. They were not injured.
At this time, troopers don't know what led up to the shooting.
The investigation wrapped up about 2:30 a.m. Friday.
More details are expected to be released later today.
