SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash Thursday night will affect traffic Friday morning.
A 911 dispatcher tells WSAZ.com that the single-car crash occurred at 11:17 p.m. Thursday on Kanawha Turnpike near 718 Chestnut Street.
No one injured in the crash but the vehicle did knock down a utility pole.
An A.E.P. crew has been called in to replace the pole and hang the lines. A.E.P. is reporting 986 customers are without electricity.
South Charleston High School and Richmond Elementary are closed this morning because of the power outage.
South Charleston Police have shut down Kanawha Turnpike. All traffic is being detoured onto Chestnut Street.
