School District Arming Teachers with Guns

Posted: 09/29/2014 - Rock Hill Schools Superintendent Wes Hairston has confirmed several teachers in schools throughout the district are carrying guns in their classrooms.

Updated: 09/29/2014 - The Meigs County Prosecutor's Office says Ernest Roach, 36, of Racine, Ohio, was indicted on one count of murder, two counts of compelling prostitution, two counts of tampering with evidence, and one count of gross abuse of a corpse.

Fall Fire Season Starts This Week

Updated: 09/29/2014 - Starting this Wednesday, fires are only permitted from 5 p.m. - 7 a.m. in West Virginia. In Ohio and Kentucky it's even more restrictive, from 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.

Fewer Abortions in Ohio than Since 1976

Posted: 09/26/2014 - The yearly report released Friday by the Ohio Department of Health says 23,216 pregnancies were terminated in 2013. That's about 2,000 less than in 2012, when the number increased for the first time since 2000.

UPDATE: Couple Pleads Guilty in Home Repair Scam

Updated: 09/24/2014 - Starting in September 2012, Leo Patrick Richard Jr. and his company All Seasons of Kentucky Inc. swept through Lawrence County and accepted insurance funds from victims for new roofs before leaving town in September 2013 without doing the work. Carol Richard, his wife, shared in the proceeds of the company.

U.S. Airstrikes Expanded into Syria

Posted: 09/22/2014 - The Pentagon says the operation involves warplanes from the U.S. and its partners. The mission includes a mix of fighter jets, bombers and Tomahawk missiles fired from ships in the region.
