IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Roughly 450 marijuana plants have been confiscated during an eradication effort in Lawrence County, Ohio on Tuesday.

Sheriff Jeff Lawless says the plants were found at nine different sites across a portion of the county.

The most plants, 179, were found at a location near the 20 mile marker along Route 775.

Sheriff Lawless says a helicopter was used to locate the plants, and then officers on the ground cut them down.

Lawless says no arrests were made, but four separate suspects have been identified.

The Sheriff says there are plans to fly other parts of the county over the next couple of weeks.
