SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol needs help in locating an SUV involved in a hit and run crash involving a 70-year-old pedestrian.
The crash happened on Carey’s Run Pond Creek Road near Bellamy Road about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Troopers say Roger Gallimore, 70, of Portsmouth, was walking north on Carey’s Run Pond Creek Road when he was struck by SUV that then continued north on the road.
Gallimore was found in a nearby ditch. He was taken to SOMC with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
According to physical evidence and eye witness accounts the vehicle is believed to be a dark grey or black SUV with damage to the passenger side. The driver was a female with blonde hair in her late 20’s to mid 30’s.
