Athens Couple Arrested on Meth Charges

A man and his wife were arrested Friday on drug charges after deputies seized several meth labs from a home where a 4-year-old child lived in Athens, Ohio.

ATHENS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man and his wife were arrested Friday on drug charges after deputies seized several meth labs from a home where a 4-year-old child lived, according to information from Athens County Sheriff Patrick Kelly's office.

Jeffery Turner, 45, and Lisa Turner, 41, both were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the 4300 block of West Wilson Road in Athens. They seized eight "one pot" meth labs.

The 4-year-old child was removed by Athens County Children's Services. The Waterloo Fire Department also was at the scene for assistance.

Both of the Turners were taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
