UPDATE 10/28/13 @ 4:28 p.m.
ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The people involved in an alleged sexual assault at Ohio University will not face charges.

The Athens County Grand Jury found that probable cause did not exist to charge any part from the October 12 incident.

The Athens Police Department investigation shows that a 20-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, both OU students, were videotaped as the man was performing sexual acts on the female on Court Street in downtown Athens.

Police say the pair did not know the incident was videotaped.

The woman told police she did not remember the incident.

Police say a drug test showed she did not have any date rape drugs in her system.

The man cooperated with the investigation.

The Athens County Prosecutor's Office says this case should remind us of the dangers of social media and new media in our lives. Prosecutor Keller Blackburn says in this case, social media identified the wrong woman, spread false rumors, and permanently documented the choices these two made.

"Every decision we make now has the potential to be placed on Twitter, Facebook, commented on, shared and embellished, making life today more public than ever before. If a lesson exists from this case, let it be that we should behave as if our family is always watching. We have a responsibility to represent the community well," Blackburn said.
