CHESAPEAKE, Ohio (WSAZ) – Investigators have identified the man found dead under the 6th Street Ohio River Bridge in Chesapeake, Ohio.
Lawrence County, Ohio Sheriff Jeff Lawless say David Rakes, 47, of Ashland, was found dead just after 6 p.m. Friday.
Rakes’ body was found by two teens who were going fishing under the bridge.
Lawless says detectives did not find any indication of foul play at the scene, but they did find three syringes near the body.
The Sheriff also says Rakes was known to use drugs, and that he was evicted from his residence in Ashland a couple of weeks ago.
A small camp fire, along with food wrappers and water bottles were found near the body.
