IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Several cars have been vandalized in one neighborhood in Ironton, and neighbors say it's no Halloween prank -- it's a recurring problem.
Victims are hoping the culprits soon find out how costly their apparent 'thrill-seeking' really is.
“It's pretty frustrating it's just somebody out for a cheap thrill," neighbor Jerrod Gumbert said. "It's not cheap to someone who has to put a 200-dollar window in a car."
Ironton Police Department Capt. Joe Ross says it appears early Sunday morning, someone rode bicycles down South 4th and 5th streets, shooting windows of at least four parked cars with a BB or pellet gun.
Police are hoping whoever's responsible has bragged to somebody about what they've done.
"Most of the time when these kinds of cases are solved, the public helps us solve them," Ross said.
Angela Doyle says this is a recurring problem.
Her car window was smashed last month.
"It's very frustrating,” Doyle said. “Somebody is going around and doing this for thrills. What kind of sick people do stuff like that?"
