NEW BOSTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A 4-year-old girl was flown to a Columbus hospital after being hit by a car in New Boston Tuesday night.
The accident happened at 8 p.m. in the 3400-block of Rhodes Avenue.
New Boston Police say that witnesses told them the girl and an adult were getting ready to cross the street when the child pulled away and darted into the southbound lane where she was hit.
The child was first taken to SOMC and then airlifted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Police are not releasing her name. No word on her condition.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt, but was checked out by emergency workers.
