UPDATE 6/25/14 @ 6 p.m.
SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Police arrested two elderly drug dealers Tuesday night.

Neighbors said they wreaked havoc on what used to be a quiet street.

But that's now come to a stop, after officials busted the operation in motion.

In the bust, police said they found more than $20,000 in cash, plenty of guns and a ton of drugs straight from Michigan.

The pair was arrested and charged with second-degree drug trafficking.

We spoke with several neighbors on Township Road North in South Point, Ohio.

"Everybody does it, they sell to this person, this person over here, this person over here, everybody around here does the same thing, everybody does it," said a family member at the home.

Family members of the suspects John Dameron, 73, and ex-wife, Doris Dameron, 63, shared heated words Wednesday.

Undercover work helped the Lawrence County Drug Task Force on Tuesday night bust the elderly pair in South Point for allegedly selling prescription drugs.

"A substantial amount of drugs," said Lawrence County Chief Investigator David Marcum.

Police estimate Dameron paid between $26 and $27 a pill.

They said it all came from Michigan, worth about $25,000.

"The drug business touches all lives, it touches the young and the elderly and a lot of people just give into greed, and that's what this was," Marcum said.

Investigators also found about $20,000 in cash, a rifle, eight handguns, and stolen power tools.

"We've received complaints about John Dameron selling pills and/or heroin for quite some time," Marcum said.

Police believe the operation was underway for more than a year.

"When I came home, they'd already taken the suspects out," said Stacie Barker.

Neighbors aren't shocked by the bust.

"There's constantly traffic flying in and out of here, people dropping people off down there," Barker said.

They said in the past few years, this quiet street morphed into a drug marketplace.

But they hope this bust could mean a safer street.

"I'm hoping our neighborhood will clean up and we can go back to having better neighbors," Barker said.

Police said the work isn't finished; others could be arrested in the near future.

Investigators said this bust came together because of several complaints about the traffic and the activity at the home.

Police said the pair otherwise had no real criminal history.

They also said they've had about three busts of this size, just this year alone.
