VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A father and son have been arrested on arson charges following a fire at a bar in Vinton County, Ohio.

Sheriff Shawn Justice says Rickie Lee Ross, 57, and Joshua Lee Ross, 24, both of Wellston, Ohio, are charged with arson, complicity to commit arson, tampering with evidence and felony obstruction.

The fire happened at Teaser's Bar just north of Hamden.

Justice says witnesses reported seeing a man running from bar that was on fire.

Hamden Police Chief Charles Boyer then detained a man matching the description given by witnesses.

The Hamden and McArthur Fire Departments responded to the fire and quickly determined that it may be arson. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was then notified.

Following a lengthy investigation, Justice says the father and son were arrested.

They were taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail and will appear for a bond hearing on Thursday.

Several other law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation: the Hamden Fire Department, McArthur Fire Department, Hamden Police Department, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Wellston Police Department and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
