GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) --Investigators with the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio BCI are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

Sheriff Joe Browning says 22-year-old Justin Saunders was found shot inside a relative’s car near Route 7 and Braden Road about 6:30 a.m.

Browning says it was owner of the car who found Saunders. The Sheriff says the car was locked and the gun was in the car.

At this time, the Sheriff believes the shooting was most likely self-inflicted.

Browning does say that Saunders had an on-going dispute with another man and his family who lived close-by, so investigators are looking into all possibilities.

Saunders is being treated at a Huntington hospital.
