Indictments Lead to Pair Arrested on Drug Charges

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Two people have been arrested in Ironton on multiple counts of a secret drug indictment into the sale of cocaine and oxycdone.

Prosecutor Brigham Anderson says members of the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force and Ironton Police arrested John Spencer, 19, of Ironton, and Chris Brown, 36, of Cincinnati, Thursday afternoon.

The men were arrested at the intersection of Chestnut Street and South 9th Street about 2p.m.

A recent grand jury indicted Spencer on three counts of trafficking drugs and two counts of trafficking cocaine, according to court records

During the arrests Anderson says investigators seized 9.3 grams of cocaine and more $1,100 in cash.
