SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The State Fire Marshal's Office in Ohio is asking for your help in solving two arson cases in Scioto County that may be related.

The first fire was reported on Friday. That's when someone set a barn on fire along State Route 73 in Rarden.

Then, an arson was reported at a vacant trailer on State Route 73 in Otway on Saturday.

Fire investigators say along with these two fires, there were also multiple vacant property fires in the county in the past few months that may be related.

“It is imperative that individuals come forward,” said State Fire Marshal Larry Flowers. “Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw something out of the ordinary at or around the time of the fires or who may have heard someone speaking about the fires with an unusual level of interest or knowledge.”

If you have any information on the fires, call 1-800-589-2728.
