IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Lawrence County EMS has been named the 2012 Paid Agency of the year in Ohio.
The agency is being honored for its improvement of public awareness and education, improving patient care with the addition of new ambulances, EKG monitors and the implementation of Tactical EMS.
“We made great strides in improving patient care in 2012 despite financial challenges,” said Earl “Buddy” Fry, LCEMS Executive Director. “Without a team effort from the County commissioner, the LCEMS management staff and the field EMT and Paramedic employees we could not have earned the prestigious honor.”
Fry and a small group of EMS employees will travel to Columbus May 15 to receive the award during a luncheon.
