GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A young man from Huntington, W.Va. who critically injured in a car accident in Gallia County, Ohio on Saturday, has died.
The single vehicle accident happened about 9:30 a.m. on Route 233 in the Greenfield Township area of Gallia County.
Investigators say an SUV traveling west, swerved off the road and hit a guardrail.
The Ohio Highway Patrol says Andrew Jeffers, 20, a passenger in the SUV died Tuesday at a Huntington hospital.
The driver, 25, and two other passengers, 15 & 18, were also hurt in the accident. They were also airlifted to a Huntington hospital with what was described as non-incapacitating injuries.
Troopers no one in the SUV was wearing a seat belt.
There is no word on what caused the driver to lose control.
It happened about 9:30 a.m. on Route 233 in the Greenfield Township of Gallia County.
Police say the SUV was traveling westbound, swerved off the road and hit a guardrail.
No other vehicles were involved.
All four people inside the SUV had to be flown to the hospital.
The accident happened one mile off of 141 on St. Rte. 233.
Ohio State Patrol says only one car was involved and four people were flown from the scene to hospitals.
